After all the cheering and singing, I have learned to embrace the sixties with pride. Since sixty is the new forty I'm glad as forty has always been my favorite age.
The higher number reflects nothing but a win at the game of life. It means constantly bouncing back to the highs after the lows, no matter how difficult or how long it takes, and later learning how to gain peace from the experience. It also takes the skill of accepting what is and never forgetting to laugh at the absurdities around us, while allowing yourself to be a little crazy no matter what others think.
Last but not least, living well needs constant praying for grace to have the time to do what my heart dictates, which is what my soul needs.
